Enterprise Resource Planning Specialist

We are seeking an experienced ERP Specialist to join our growing team and lead the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our ERP systems. This role is vital in ensuring our business processes remain efficient, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals. The ERP Specialist will collaborate across departments to support system integration, user adoption, and continuous improvement as the company continues to grow.

Ihle Fabrications is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Polk City, Iowa, that specializes in producing wear-resistant parts for agricultural equipment, especially combines used in grain harvesting. Started by two farmers wanting to find solutions for their combine in 2002 and now Celebrating 5 Years with a full manufacturing operation. From concept to completion, we strive to deliver high-quality products . Our state-of-the-art facility and experienced team ensure that every project meets the highest standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

ERP Ownership & System Leadership

  • Serve as the primary internal owner of NetSuite, including system functionality, reporting, and data structures
  • Lead ERP-related initiatives, enhancements, and improvements from concept through execution
  • Maintain ERP configuration, master data integrity, and system documentation
  • Support ERP upgrades, integrations, and coordination with external ERP service providers

Product Costing, BOMs & Routings

  • Enter and maintain new product costing in the ERP system
  • Create, review, and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and routings to ensure accurate product structure and cost flow
  • Review and validate cost setup for existing products, ensuring alignment with current materials, labor, and processes
  • Partner with engineering and operations to ensure BOM and routing accuracy prior to product release

Costing, Pricing & Financial Analysis

  • Own and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead
  • Develop and manage product costing models, margin analysis, and pricing support
  • Analyze labor and overhead absorption and identify cost improvement opportunities
  • Perform detailed variance analysis (material, labor, overhead, and price)
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making through cost and profitability analysis

Data, Reporting & SQL Analysis

  • Build, maintain, and optimize ERP reports, queries, and dashboards
  • Use SQL to query, validate, and analyze ERP and operational data
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across systems
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership through clear, data-driven reporting

Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration

  • Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance to ensure accurate costing and reporting
  • Act as the primary interface between business teams and external IT and ERP service providers
  • Translate business requirements into system and reporting solutions

IT Support & Process Improvement

  • Provide light internal IT generalist support (user support, basic troubleshooting, coordination with vendors)
  • Identify and implement process improvements related to ERP usage, costing, and data flow
  • Establish and document best practices for ERP, product costing, and reporting processes

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Accounting, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of ERP master data structures, configuration, and process flows across manufacturing operations
  • Proven experience with product costing, standard cost management, BOMs, and margin analysis
 

Compensation

Up to $100,000 per year
