Material Handler

Ihle Fabrications, located in Polk City IA, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for the movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods within our facility. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials
• Organize and store materials in designated locations
• Prepare materials for production by ensuring proper quantity and quality
• Load and unload materials from trucks and delivery vehicles
• Assist in inventory management and cycle counting
• Work with production team to ensure materials are readily available when needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials
• Basic math and computer skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures
• Must have valid drivers license
